Ken Sax

Ken Sax is a Designated Broker for approximately 800 licensees throughout WA and has been in the real estate industry since 1992. He started his career in Southern CA and spent 12 years as a commercial broker selling industrial, office, and shopping center properties. Ken later relocated to the Pacific Northwest at the end of 2003, earned his instructors license in 2006, and has been teaching on a regular basis ever since.  Ken was a major contributor with the DOL on a 3 year project to revise the WA Managing Broker’s state exam. 

Ken has received numerous awards, including Realtor of the Year at both the local and state level.  Most recently, Ken was awarded the 2024 Washington Realtor Hugh Hawkins Award for Education, complimented at the presentation of the award as “changing behaviors” with his leadership and continuing education classes.

Personally, Ken is a proud father of two children, adopted as infants from China.  When he has spare time, Ken is a jump pilot, stand-up comic, musician and an avid reader. He also enjoys camping, travel, meeting new people and has been boxing since 1993. One of Ken’s favorite quotes when it comes to education is, “If you think education is expensive, try ignorance!”

Angie DeArth

Angie has been serving the Spokane area real estate industry for over 50 years and still looks forward to each and every day.  She obtained her teaching certificate from the Department of Licensing in 2006 to write clock hour classes and offer continuing education to real estate agents.   You can attend on of Angie’s live clock hour classes monthly in various locations.  Now retired, Angie is a valuable resource to industry leaders in Washington State.

“I feel I bring to the table with my classes information to the agents from the closers side of the desk, thus a whole new vision. Many people have asked me over the years “how can you work so many years in this industry doing the same thing?” I tell them no two closing are the same. I get to work with so many different lenders, agents and clients. It has been very fulfilling.”

Besides having a passion for Seller Financing, she is loves Italian cooking and has published her own cookbook.

NOTABLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
• Established the Spokane chapter of the Escrow Association of Eastern Washington.
• Currently President of the Spokane chapter of the Escrow Association of Eastern Washington
• Responsible for the education for Limited Practice Officers.
• Served two 5 year appointments on the Governor’s Escrow Commission.
• Spokane Association of Realtors Affiliate of the Year, 2011
• Monthly real estate feature called “Ask Angie” in the Spokane Exchange.
• Published her Italian cookbook called “My Little Meatball”  with over 2,000 copies sold.

Anne Hartman

Anne brings 25 years of real estate experience to the classroom, including holding office as President of the SW Council for the Seattle King County Association of REALTORS, President of South King County Women’s Council of REALTORS, Vice President of Business Practices, Washington REALTORS, State Director, Washington REALTORS and involvement in many committees at local associations and state associations.  Anne was also involved in several court cases as an expert witness which has given her a unique perspective on behaviors and practices that land agents in trouble.
